It is messy and looks like flour, but it is safe for food and around food. Try diatomaceous earth to get rid of them. The beetles are about the size of 2-3 numbers of the year I've had more bodies in the sink than anywhere else. My belief is they are coming up the sink, as water doesn't deter them. They showed the same time as the beetles. Like.mini baby cockroaches.With 6 legs and antennas. Still smaller than the beetles by over half the size. Those had very tiny, slender bodies that were a little long. I had a colony of the other bugs in a bag of chocolates. I've hit about 15 of them and they all died. The weird part is I spray them with it, and they die in about 10 seconds. I threw out the microwave (sucked anyway) and have been using lemon lysol spray. Frozen meals and bread that I also freeze. I have not bought any new spices, flour, cereal, crackers, nothing of the sort. These little pests made their way into my microwave housing and can withstand 3 minutes of microwave energy. The first is the little black beetle (picture to follow) and it's mostly in my sink in my kitchen. Not sure how often you guys frequent the page, but I've been having 2 types of bugs recently (2 months). I know what I would choose if it was not a joint decision. If I'm going to the expense of a pro install and a more expensive material, it is going to be a finish I really want. Like I told my fabricator, I'm not the kind of person who wants granite or quartz just for the sake of having granite or quartz. At this point, comparing to backsplash and wall and cabinetry color, one color has emerged as my favorite. And we used the visualizer to imagine what it would look like in kitchen (yellow walls) and bathroom (SW Ebbtide not necessarily to use in BA but that color walls and furniture in living room and dining area). What we had as first choice, which looked great standalone, is now discarded. Picked out two other samples and placed all three side by side against the white subway tile we want for backsplash. To illustrate, I found a sample of Wilsonart quartz wife and I liked from online pics and liked in person. Anything you see online or printed, regardless of material or color, is not going to be the same in person in your lighting and with your finishes. Absolutely worth looking at a slab and bringing a sample home. Great choice if you like it and if it works in color palette.
